2/23/2024 0 Comments Diablo 2 infinity and pride necroThey can kill literally anything that the game throws at them due to Amplify Damage and Corpse Explosion being a mix of both Fire and Physical Damage. In this guide I will try to give you the pointers you need to get use to this class. Holy freeze, might & blessed aim are all viable options- former is better at defense, might is better at killing or bosses on its own, blessed aim better at just cbing a boss down on its own or boosting urdars- still good with infinity. So, you've got some interest in the Summon Necromancer. A hone sundan could maybe be faster at killing bosses. An act 1 faith merc can speed up revives, but you'd get more dps from a conviction might merc or pride or whatever. An act 5 lawbringer merc can help knockback enemies in chaos, but deals no damage. So there's an argument for alternative merc builds to infinity builds with fort/treachery/gillhat/coa/vamp/andys/etc. But when it comes to filling in the role of what a poison necro isn't good at- killing bosses and unbreakable immunes- infinity a2 merc actually winds up being one of the better options anyway, because conviction helps his chance to hit to apply more crushing blows and speed up diablo. So infinity isn't so amazing for a poison necro merc. At some point corpse explosion itself becomes mediocre because even in players 8 your poison nova is so effective that just repeatedly casting it to tag more monsters / refresh duration is going to be a faster clear speed than adding in corpse explosions which are relatively low damage by comparison, even with lr/amp + conviction.
